Casio Synthesizer - Casiotone 701

Casio synthesizer with a great arp function and analog drums.  I especially like the touch plate on the front to trigger rhythm variations.  It reminds me of some of my vintage Roland TR machines.

Thanks for looking and feel free to explore the blog for more casio synthesizers.

Many people don't even know about the early pro model casio keyboards. This beauty has analog drum beats and some lovely organ type sounds. From what I have learned, this synth was a departure from casio's normal synthesis technique, employing two sine wave generators to create the sounds.

I found one of these beasts at a thrift store, quite broken. It had some output volume issue that would cut in and out that I could never track down. The arp function was hosed. There was a wonderful laser beam "pew pew," sound that made me laugh though, so I sampled it and sold the beast a swap meet to some other poor bastard to try and revive for $20. *sigh*

Hi!
Please, can you help me?
I want to know what keyboard it´s better, Casiotone 405 or Casiotone 701?
Thank you very much!

I just picked one up today. Love it for the analog organ sounds and the "drum" rhythms!
